From a somehow-hilarious, tell-all rehab story to observational family jokes and zany sketch comedy, these specials and series from John Mulaney, Wanda Sykes, and Tim Robinson will have you ROTFL.

JOHN MULANEY: BABY J
A few years ago, comedian John Mulaney arrived at a dinner party two hours late only to realize he was attending a star-studded intervention — for him. In his new stand-up special John Mulaney: Baby J, the two-time Emmy winner tells his addiction-to-rehab story — from the age of 13 to the present — without shying away from some of his most embarrassing moments that led to his seeking treatment. Now Emmy-nominated for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded) and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special, John Mulaney: Baby J remains true to the comedian’s signature style, while being his most intimate special yet.

WANDA SYKES: I'M AN ENTERTAINER
Comedian Wanda Sykes is never not funny. From her pointed observations about politics during the pandemic to her relationship with her French wife and Gen Z teenagers, no aspect of the Emmy-winning comedian’s life is safe from her ferocious wit in her latest stand-up special, Wanda Sykes: I’m an Entertainer.
The show has been nominated for three Emmys, in the categories of Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. A veteran of her field, Sykes manages to keep her jokes fresh and relevant, and relatable as always.
I THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE WITH TIM ROBINSON
The first two seasons of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson earned Emmy, Writers Guild, and Hollywood Critics Association awards for its offbeat sketches sending up office life, modern etiquette — everything, really. With the show’s third season, creators Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin welcome a who’s who of comedic talents including Fred Armisen, Ayo Edebiri, Jason Schwartzman, and, of course, series veteran and Robinson’s former co-star on Detroiters, Sam Richardson.
It should come as no surprise then that I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson is now nominated again in the category of Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama, or Variety Series and the show’s star Robinson has been nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series, an award he took home at last year’s Emmys. Fans know that Ronnie may just be in it for the zipline, but I Think You Should Leave is clearly here for the right reasons.
