Rain showing up unannounced is considered good luck for a couple on their wedding day, but what about a dead body washing ashore on the morning of your nuptials? In The Perfect Couple, the dream wedding of Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson, Behind Her Eyes) marking her marriage into the über-wealthy Winbury family —  led by matriarch and famous novelist Greer (Nicole Kidman, Big Little Lies) — is put on pause after a murder takes hold of the close-knit Nantucket community.

Susanne Bier directs the gripping limited series, which showrunner Jenna Lamia adapted from Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times-best-selling novel of the same name. All three women executive-produce the twisty mystery, in which every character has something to hide: from Amelia’s doting husband-to-be Benji (Billy Howle, Under the Banner of Heaven) to Benji’s brother Thomas (Jack Reynor, Midsommar) and his wife Abby (Dakota Fanning, Ripley), to the groom’s father Tag (Liev Schreiber, Ray Donovan).

The Perfect Couple, which counts Kidman, Per Saari, Shawn Levy, Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady, and Josh Barry among its executive producers, challenges the idea of a picture-perfect marriage and family and proves that secrets festering beneath the surface can lead to explosive outcomes.
