A 13-episode thrill ride through the mind of Millar via the brilliant animators at bones, inc., Super Crooks might be Netflix’s sexiest, most off-the-wall anime yet. Our hero (or supervillain, that is) is Johnny Bolt, voiced by heartthrob Kenjirô Tsuda (seriously, you’ve got to hear this guy’s voice). Johnny can control electricity, and he’s teaming up with a few less-than-scrupulous superpowered buddies to steal millions from a high-powered crime boss. What could go wrong?

Super Crooks features an original story by Millar, who worked closely alongside director Motonobu Hori (Carole & Tuesday) and screenwriter Dai Satô (Cowboy Bebop) to bring this unique spin on superheroes and supervillains to anime form.
“I love that Motonobu has brought a new flavor to superheroes,” says Millar. “To actually see this done in anime is quite rare. It’s just amazing because it’s two things I love being smashed together.”
