The funnypeople of North America's biggest comedy festival assemble for a celebratory brunch — and a legendary picture.
Hundreds of the world’s funniest people can be found in one place this week, thanks to this year’s Netflix is a Joke Fest. Taking over 35-plus venues across Los Angeles, the 12-day celebration, which is the biggest comedy festival in North America, has brought the likes of comedians Jon Stewart, John Mulaney, Chelsea Handler, Kevin Hart, Sarah Silverman, Tiffany Haddish, Hasan Minhaj, Hannah Gadsby, and so many more to the City of Angels.
In honor of the momentous occasion, the entertaining bunch gathered at a special brunch hosted by Netflix Co-Chief Executive Officer Ted Sarandos. Captured by previous Queue contributor Art Streiber, 71 of the festival’s comedic minds assembled for a once-in-a-lifetime class photo. Bert Kreischer, who recently announced a new Netflix stand-up special, jumped right into the pool as the group congregated, while Haddish, Sinbad, and Luenell shared a lovefest. Bo Burnham struck a pose, peeking out from behind a pillar as Mulaney, taking a break from his nightly live variety show John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in L.A., smiled alongside the ready-to-roast-Tom-Brady Hart, and frequent collaborator Nick Kroll. The occasion marked a reunion for some of the cast of Unfrosted, with Jim Gaffigan, Sarah Cooper, and Jack McBrayer all reconnecting for the picture.
As the photoshoot wrapped, the cohort erupted into applause, sharing hugs and laughs in awe of what was just pulled off — all in the name of comedy.
